If your vehicle does not pass on the day, you receive a clear, plain-English list of what failed and why. You then have 14 days to repair those items. Once the issues are fixed, we return and recheck only the items that failed the first time, and if everything passes we issue your safety certificate on the spot.

No, there is no re-inspection fee for the same vehicle within the 14-day period when we are rechecking the original failed items. You do not pay twice for the same roadworthy; simply get the listed issues repaired and we will come back to sign it off once it passes.

Most standard light vehicle roadworthy inspections take around 45 to 60 minutes. Larger or modified vehicles can take longer. Before your Brisbane or Gold Coast roadworthy inspection, make sure the vehicle is parked on a safe, fairly flat surface with enough room to work, you have all keys including any wheel lock keys, we can access the interior, engine bay, boot and trailer coupling if relevant, the battery is not completely flat and there is at least some fuel, and you have basic ID and registration details if the vehicle is registered. Clearing excess items from the cabin and boot also helps us check seatbelts, mounts and spare wheels properly.
